What is a blog to me
To me a blog is somewhere you put your thoughts, share an article you got in an email, promote your business and sometimes just put in it what is going on in your life at the time. If I make a mistake, no one is going to cut my head off LOL. They might hurt my feelings but then I can consider the source and move on. Which is what I am doing with this blog.
I am kept busy with my store at OnLineAuction.com aka OLA.COM. I sell a lot of different items and I love being on OLA. I run my own store and I have no one telling me how to do that. I pay $8.00 a month and that is all. There are no other listing fees, final value fees or relisting fees and you can click on the auro relist and not worry about when an item comes off because it is automatically relisted for you until it sells or you remove the listing yourself. I would love to have you visit my store at http://ola.com/store/chateycathey and hopefully you might find something you like.
Another reason I love being at ola.com is the other sellers and buyers there are so happy to help me if I run into a problem I cannot figure out myself. It is like one big family. No throat cutting just to make sure you do not make a sale and they do. It seems like a chat room to some but it is not a chat room. It has many places where you can post what you need help with and then go on about your business and check back later and someone will answer what you posted. There is also and 800 number and you talk to someone who does not put you on hold while they take another call.
I have sold on Yahoo and Ebay and I am so happy I found ola.com and left all the hassles behind and there were plenty of them to leave. Now that I am at ola.com I realize just how much I was controlled at the other sites and it is a joy again to sell and buy on line. I was so ready to give up on selling on line until I found this site which changed my whole outlook about it.
I have learned how to promote myself, my store and my tiems from other sellers on ola.com, If you are looking for a place where buyers and sellers are treat equally then you should at least take a look at ola.com and look at their policies which are all there for your consideration. They hide nothing to be sprung on you later. What you read and agree to is very simple and it is in full. No surprises.
Hope to see you checking out my store and all the other stores at OLA.COM

2012 and OLA.COM
I believe 2012 is going to be the best year ever for ola.com and I am so glad I am a member of the ola family.
I joined on December 24, 2010 and within one year I have accomplished so much more than I did on 11 years at eBay and Yahoo. My sales have increased super fast. My 474 positive feedback reflects that.
I have made friends which is like an unspoken no no at eBay. At ola.com they encourage it. Also at ola.com you are part of the big family and everyone helps each other. There are so many that are computer smart and use that talent to help others get their stores up and running properly with any links that help you promote your store.
OLA promotes all of it's members, buyers and sellers alike. However at ola.com they do not get into your business. It is your business and ola lets you run your business your way. Yes they do have rules as to what you can and cannot sell on ola but that can be read before you decide to sign on as a member.
Your membership can be whatever level you choose. I opted for the founding membership because my fee of $8.00 a month will never go up. I can list up to 8,000 items at any one time. When some sell then I can list more to reach that number again. Now I will tell you I do not have that many listings and I am one that will not look at that many listings. That is another reason why ola has catagories which make it easy to find what you are looking for. No listing fees, no final value fees, no relisting fees with auto relist available. Just one monthly fee of $8.00 per month. What you sell it for is what you keep for yourself.
This is going to be the best year ever for ola.com with all the new members signing up to be a part of what is going on. When they see all the different ways we promote our stores and our items and where our standings are on google they want to be a part of that.
If you want to see my store you can go to http://ola.com/store/chateycathey and while there you can read all the positive feedback I have. Ola does not control your feedback
either. If a buyer gives you problems at eBay you are not allowed to leave a negative feed back for them. Not that way at ola because like I said before ola.com does not get into your business. If you need to leave a negative you can. I like that feature but it is rare to see negative on our site.
If you have not checked out ola.com just click on the link and you can read about it. Ola has a support system that is far above any I have seen anywhere. They have a toll free number you can call and ask any questions you want to before you sign up. You get someone right away or you get a call back as soon as they are done helping someone else, usually about 15 to 20 minutes. Come join the family that plays well together.

OLA AUCTIN SITE HAS TAUGHT ME
Ola has taught me so much that I don't know where to begin, so I will type what comes to mind. I just hope I don't forget anything or anyone.
The sellers and buyers taught me that it does not have to be a chore to sell or buy online. As I came here from another place, I was a little bit bitter about selling on line, however since the first day I signed up with OLA.COM it was and is like a new world.
I have made friends by going to the chat rooms and I have learned that the other people at ola.com treat you like family just as soon as they know you are here. And they care about one another and what is going on in their lives besides selling and buying. Always quiick to say "can I help" or "what do you need".
At ola.com everyone shares ideas and information. No one at the other site I sold at even knew my real name or cared to know it. I feel sorry for those people who do not know what it is like to be a part of the decision making where they sell. It is not all about the money in our community. It is about the people also.
When we were challenged to a November blog I did not know what blogging was all about. I also did not know anything about the +1 to google, what sharing with Face Book and Tweeting could do for our ratings and our stores. And it was fun setting a new record for blogs in one year.
People who I have met here are awesome and honest. Yes, I had a problem with one person and it was settled quickly and fairly. I cannot believe that in less than a year I am pushing 500 feed backs. That is something else I learned at ola.com. Promoting yourself and your site pays off in so many ways. People in the know at ola share their knowledge with the rest of us in the chats and also teach us one on one how to do things. That is special.
Another thing that is special is the monthly radio show that we can all be a part of while sitting in our own homes. Listen in while http://ola.com/store/MetzyMom will probably interview the seller of the month for December within the first five minutes of the show. Congratulations to http://ola.com/store/SuperGranny, well done. Metzy does such a great job at hosting the show. Always new information there as well.
I have learned about a lot of things from mistletoe and christmas trees to toilet paper.
Learned about it in the OLATEAMBLOG along with a lot of other really cool stuff and some great information. Also was given links to stores I have not visited yet, but I see they have some nice items and I am not done Christmas shopping yet. Someone else put the link in their blog for stores that did not know it. Just another way of caring and sharing at ola.com
I am so happy to be at OLA.COM. It is my online home and the first place I check when I sign on for the day. I want to know who is doing a special sale and who is listing new items and what they are.
I would like to thank a few special people at ola.com. http://ola.com/store/yogibear66 , & http://ola.com/store/MetzyMom, For running the special auctions and collecting funds for a special member who is recovering from cancer surgery and in need of help right now. God bless you both and all who contributed to the cause. Also thank you to http//ola.com/store/KornKuntryTreasures, I want to say thank you for all that you did to bring notice to a lot of sellers by blogging about them and giving their link to their store. Other members also did the same things and if I list them all here no one will read the blog because it will be too long.
To OLA.COM, the staff and inside workers we do not know and see often but they keep the wheels greased and running great I say thank you so much for all you do. Frank answers the phone when you call for help, and he knows the answers. And Renee who helps keep us all up to date, shares our stores on face book, tweets, runs the specials like "how many candies in the jar", decorate OLA logo and many others. Thank you all so much for making ola.com the best place to be a member and partner of.
To http://ola.com/store/jaswood2 and http://ola.com/store/aesthetics48 you both are so super for giving your time to help others with their stores. To one who had to call me to get me the help I needed I thank you http://ola.com/store/Fleapirates.
Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and if I left anyone out I appoligize. Please leave a comment as they all count.

Gray-Haired Brigade
They like to refer to us as senior citizens, old fogies, geezers, and in some cases dinosaurs.
Some of us are "Baby Boomers" getting ready to retire. Others have been retired for some time. We walk a little slower these days and our eyes and hearing are not what they once were.
We have worked hard, raised our children, worshipped our God and grown old together.
Yes, we are the ones some refer to as being over the hill, and that is probably true.. But before writing us off completely, there are a few things that need to be taken into consideration.
In school we studied English, history, math, and science which enabled us to lead America into the technological age.
Most of us remember what outhouses were, many of us with firsthand experience. We remember the days of telephone party-lines, 25 cent gasoline, and milk and ice being delivered to our homes. For those of you who don't know what an icebox is, today they are electric and referred to as refrigerators. A few even remember when cars were started with a crank. Yes, we lived those days.
We are probably considered old fashioned and out-dated by many. But there are a few things you need to remember before completely writing us off. We won World War II, fought in Korea and Viet Nam. We can quote The Pledge of Allegiance, and know where to place our hand while doing so. We wore the uniform of our country with pride and lost many friends on the battlefield. We didn't fight for the Socialist States of America; we fought for the "Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave." We wore different uniforms but carried the same flag. We know the words to the Star Spangled Banner, America, and America the Beautiful by heart and you may even see some tears running down our cheeks as we sing. We have lived what many of you have only read about in history books and we feel no obligation to apologize to anyone for America.
Yes, we are old and slow these days but rest assured, we have at least one good fight left in us. We have loved this country, fought for it, and died for it, and now we are going to save it. It is our country and nobody is going to take it away from us . We took oaths to defend America against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and that is an oath we plan to keep. There are those who want to destroy this land we love but, like our founders, there is no way we are going to remain silent.
It was the young people of this nation who elected Obama and the Democratic Congress. You fell for the "Hope and Change" which in reality was nothing but "Hype and Lies." You have tasted socialism and seen evil face to face, and have found you don't like it after all. You make a lot of noise, but most are all too interested in their careers or "Climbing the Social Ladder" to be involved in such mundane things as patriotism and voting. Many of those who fell for the "Great Lie" in 2008 are now having buyer's remorse. With all the education we gave you, you didn't have sense enough to see through the lies and instead drank the 'Cool-Aid.' Now you're paying the price and complaining about it. No jobs, lost mortgages, higher taxes, and less freedom. This is what you voted for and this is what you got. We entrusted you with the Torch of Liberty and you traded it for a paycheck and a fancy house.
Well, don't worry youngsters, the Grey Haired Brigade is here, and in 2012 we are going to take back our nation. We may drive a little slower than you would like but we get where we're going, and in 2012 we're going to the polls by the millions. This land does not belong to the man in the White House or to the likes of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. It belongs to "We the People" and "We the People" plan to reclaim our land and our freedom . We hope this time you will do a better job of preserving it and passing it along to our grandchildren.
